SUCCESS FOR BUS-PASSENGERS !

HALE END ROAD (nr.Royal Oak pub) - NEW BUS-SHELTER

Earlier in the year, Liberal Democrats asked FOCUS readers in Highams Park for information about a "disappearing bus-shelter" in Hale End Road (just before the Oak Hill junction for buses heading towards Walthamstow).

London Buses Customer Services were unable to account for its removal but promised that it would be replaced!

A few local people who had witnessed an accident which had damaged the shelter, and therefore caused its removal, informed FOCUS.

Now, after several contacts with London Buses, local Liberal Democrats are pleased to report that there is a new shelter where people can wait for their bus - and sit down if they want!

CHINGFORD & WOODFORD GREEN: The constituency consists of 6 wards in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and 2 in Redbridge. Currently the Liberal Democrats have SIX councillors in the constituency - we have held 3 seats in CHURCH END ward, REDBRIDGE for many years and in May, 2006 we gained three seats from the Conservatives in HALE END & HIGHAMS PARK ward, Waltham Forest. In the same local elections, the Lib Dems came second in the overall vote in Monkhams (Redbridge) and in Valley and Chingford Green wards (Waltham Forest).
