Back from Harrogate

Liberal Democrat Spring Conference

Three members of the Executive of Chingford and Woodford Green Liberal Democrats attended the recent party conference in Harrogate. Vice-Chair Geoff Seeff spoke in the debate on "Green and Prosperous Communities" and Chairman Cllr.John Beanse asked a question from the platform on the NHS and also made contributions in a consultation session on Health.

CHINGFORD & WOODFORD GREEN: The constituency consists of 6 wards in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and 2 in Redbridge. Currently the Liberal Democrats have SIX councillors in the constituency - we have held 3 seats in CHURCH END ward, REDBRIDGE for many years and in May, 2006 we gained three seats from the Conservatives in HALE END & HIGHAMS PARK ward, Waltham Forest. In the same local elections, the Lib Dems came second in the overall vote in Monkhams (Redbridge) and in Valley and Chingford Green wards (Waltham Forest). In the last General Election the Lib Dems increased their share of the vote to well over 17%. Keep informed with regular visits to our blogspot !
