Response to report by Lord Darzi - Healthcare for London

A response to the Healthcare for London consultation ("Consulting the Capital"), based on the "Darzi report", has been submitted by Waltham Forest Lib Dem Councillor John Beanse, who is Vice-Chair of Waltham Forest's Overview and Scrutiny sub-committee on Health, Adults and Older People. CHINGFORD & WOODFORD GREEN: The constituency consists of 6 wards in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and 2 in Redbridge. Currently the Liberal Democrats have SIX councillors in the constituency - we have held 3 seats in CHURCH END ward, REDBRIDGE for many years and in May, 2006 we gained three seats from the Conservatives in HALE END & HIGHAMS PARK ward, Waltham Forest. In the same local elections, the Lib Dems came second in the overall vote in Monkhams (Redbridge) and in Valley and Chingford Green wards (Waltham Forest). In the last General Election the Lib Dems increased their share of the vote to well over 17%. Keep informed with regular visits to our blogspot !
