SAVE OUR NHS
The patient is looking none too healthy! We have to make sure that all the services he or she may need are available LOCALLY. On a recent coach tour by Health Scrutiny Councillors, visiting the 3 A & E departments we currently have in N.E.London, Cllr.John Beanse drew attention to the busy activity and asked pointedly: "If we end up with only 2, instead of 3 A & E departments in this part of London - AS MAY WELL HAPPEN under current proposals - how could the NHS possibly cope?" We have to keep up the battle to save our NHS.

New role for former post office
North Chingford re-vamp!
It has been confirmed that the Council is to make “significant investment” in North Chingford’s Library and Assembly Hall in a million pound-plus revamp.
The improved amenities will become not only fit for purpose but will comply with health and safety and Disability and Discrimination Act requirements.
Chingford Green Lib Dem by-election candidate Graham Woolnough says: “Both buildings are an invaluable resource in our community and I warmly welcome this news. This work is much needed and is what local people and the Lib Dem FOCUS Team have been asking for.”
Work on the two buildings is due to begin in April and should be finished within six months.
The library will be refurbished first and will relocate and operate from the Assembly Hall while the work is undertaken.
